Q. When may I embark the ship?
A. Guests may embark as early as two
hours but no later than 15 minutes prior to departure.
Q. We're visiting so many countries.
What
about currency?
A. Although many of the places you will visit will
have their own currency, U.S. dollars are readily accepted - as are
traveler's checks and major credit cards. Money is also easily
exchanged at local banks.
Q. Are shore excursions available?
A. Yes, and there are many choices in each port. You will receive a
detailed booklet describing each shore excursion when you board.
You may not book the shore excursions in advance, but we suggest
contacting the on-board office as soon as you embark.
Q. How will we know what is going on each
day?
A. Each evening before you retire, your room steward will
deliver a program of all the available activities for the next day.
Q. What about my laundry?
A. Complete
laundry, pressing, and dry-cleaning facilities are available on
board. Ironing rooms, coin-operated washers and dryers are also
available for your use.
Q. Will I get seasick?
A. Probably not.
Most large passenger ships are all equipped with stabilizing
"fins" that counteract more than 80% of the roll of a ship, so
motion sickness is now relatively uncommon on the high seas. |
